June Food Sense Package Now Available for Order

The Food Bank of Central New York's Food Sense program is taking orders for its June food package, offering a great way to stretch your grocery budget with a box full of staple items at a discounted price.

The standard June package is priced at $20.50 and includes:

• Boneless Chicken Thighs (Frozen), approx. 1.68 lbs.

• Kielbasa (Frozen), 13 oz.

• Fish Sticks (Frozen), 1 lb.

• Bologna (Frozen), 1 lb.

• Pierogies: Potato & Cheddar (Frozen), 13 oz.

• Hamburger Helper, 5.8 oz.

• Green Beans (Frozen), 1 lb.

• Corn (Frozen), 1 lb.

• Elbow Macaroni, 1 lb.

• Mixed Fruit Salad (Canned), 15 oz.

• Two fresh produce items (contents to be announced)

In addition to the standard package, several add-on specials are available this month:

• St. Louis Style Ribs — 3 lbs. for $10.00

• Smash Burger Patties — 2 lbs. for $12.00

• Chicken Wings — 5 lbs. for $9.50

• Hash Browns — 2 lbs. for $4.00

• Breaded Shrimp — 3 lbs. for $13.50

• Stuffed Shells — 48 oz. (18 shells) for $7.50

Orders can be picked up at Civic Center on Thursday, June 18, at 2:00 PM.

The order deadline is Monday, June 8, for both online and in-person orders.

Orders can also be placed online at foodsense.foodbankcny.org using a credit card or EBT/SNAP. Food Sense is open to anyone looking to save on groceries, no income requirements apply.
