Stretch your grocery budget this month with the Food $en$e program in Marathon! This monthly food co-op, a program of the Food Bank of Central New York, is open to everyone—there are no income requirements and no subscriptions. It is a simple "buying club" designed to help families and individuals get high-quality food at a significant discount.

The May 2026 package is available for just $20.50 and is packed with a mix of proteins, pantry staples, and fresh produce.

What’s in the May Package?

For only $20.50, you receive a unit containing:

  • Chicken Drumsticks (Avg. 3.5 lbs)

  • Pork Tenderloin (Avg. 1.78 lbs)

  • Ground Beef (1 lb)

  • Hot Dogs (1 lb)

  • Sharp Cheddar Slices (6 oz)

  • Macaroni & Cheese (7.25 oz)

  • Mixed Vegetables (1 lb, Frozen)

  • Carrots (1 lb, Frozen)

  • Applesauce (15 oz)

  • Peaches (15 oz)

  • Fresh Produce Item #1: Onions (2 lbs)

  • Fresh Produce Item #2: Mushrooms (8 oz)

May Specials

In addition to the standard package, you can purchase "Specials" to further stock your freezer. This month's highlights include:

  • Boneless Chicken Thighs (Avg. 4.2 lbs): $8.50

  • Pulled Pork in Carolina BBQ Sauce (1 lb): $6.50

  • Shrimp Scampi Meal with Pasta (24 oz): $6.50

  • Sliced American Cheese (5 lbs): $12.00

  • Crinkle Cut Fries (6 lbs): $6.00

  • Italian Meatballs (5 lbs, fully cooked): $13.00

Important Information for Marathon Residents

If you are ordering through the Marathon host site, please keep the following dates and details in mind:

Location: 11 Brink St, Marathon, NY 13803

Order Deadlines: Orders must be placed by Monday, May 18, 2026. This applies to both in-person and online orders.

How to Order: You can order online at foodsense.foodbankcny.org using a credit/debit card or SNAP/EBT.

Pick-up Date: Thursday, May 28, 2026

Pick-up Time: 2:00 PM

Note: Please remember that sites cannot hold food after the scheduled pick-up time. If you cannot make it, you may send someone else to pick up your order on your behalf. Any food not picked up on May 28 will be donated to the local food pantry.
